Vegetables
We try to eat what we’ve grown ourselves as much as possible during the summer, preserving and freezing for the winter and selling all the rest! We will have a variety each year as some things will be in abundance and others more scarce. Heads up, I don’t sell our homemade dill pickles but if I have extra cukes I’ll let you know! The commercial kitchen is non-stop during the summer market season so If I don’t have time to can it, I’ll sell it fresh first!
Just because it’s not listed Below doesn’t mean we won’t have it, please contact us for what is currently available.
Carrots
Sweet, freshly harvested garden carrots are a summer treat in the farmers markets! We love to grow colourful varieties and pack the bags with Red, Purple, White, Yellow & Orange varieties depending on what’s harvested each week!
Beans
Bush Beans & Pole Beans, pods are harvested and sold fresh from the farm during the summer outdoor growing season, usually July thru till September depending on how fast fall comes in. Yellow, Green, Purple & Reds are all fun to toss in your next salad or summer side dish!
Blanch and freeze to use all winter.
Beets
In addition to bringing a pop of colour to your plate, beets are highly nutritious and packed with essential vitamins, minerals, and plant compounds. What’s more, they’re delicious and easy to add to your diet in dishes like balsamic roasted beets, hummus, fries, and salads, among many others. We grow several varieties of beets because we love the different colours and flavours from golden yellow and white to my favourite Red & White striped Choggia along with the classic reds.
Heirloom Tomatoes
So many colors to choose from! Like a kid in a candy store we browse seed catalogues to find unique and interesting varieties to grow each year along with the classics like Beefsteaks, Paste tomatoes and Cherries. Join us through the growing season to try them all or if you want to grow your own we will have plant starts available in the spring. Any extra plants we cant fit in the gardens we offer up for sale for you to grow at home!
Plant Starts
We have our own indoor greenhouse set up in our shop where we start as many types of veggies as we can to get a jump on our short growing season. What we like to eat we grow and offer to you for your gardens as well.
